The PRO Drawing Collection
In 1986 Europe was still split by the Iron Curtain. This collection uniquely involves 148 works on paper by
artists from many Western European as well as from Eastern European countries, Canada, USA, South America and
Korea.
One of the charms of this collection is to experience the visual kinship or even similarities of structured
compositions by artists from very different national and cultural backgrounds and of very different positions on
the art market. About 30 works are created by pioneers of digital art.
The collection clearly demonstrates that the fascination for cohesion, structure, systems, mathematics or
rational geometry is actually a universal basic human interest and not based on a specific culture, age or
gender.
