Fré Ilgen: Lectures

Fré Ilgen short factsheet (click for .pdf)

Lectures consist of introductions to Ilgen’s linking of facts and interpretations from neuroscience to the experience evoked by works of art, emphasizing the naturalness and logic to incorporate the whole mind/body as unity in both the creation and in the perception of works of art.
This novel approach offers refreshing views about the individual experiences works of art may offer. An approach welcomed by many art lovers in very different parts of the world that has proved to be helpful in regaining natural excitement about art for oneself and in one’s own individual environment.

For instance in recent years: “Checkpoint Ilgen” series, Berlin, Germany; Stony Brook University New York, USA; American University /The Phillips Collection, Washington DC, USA; Goethe Center, Atlanta, USA; APA (Art Platform Asia), Seoul, Korea; Frobenius Institute, Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany.
